Nuclear Energy Components (NEC) has added to its accreditations by gaining JOSCAR accreditation with Hellios Information. JOSCAR is the accreditation and compliance system for the defence, aerospace and security sectors including prime contractors, civil aviation and security which acts as a single repository for pre-qualification and compliance information for prime contractors such as BAE Systems, Babcock, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Rolls-Royce.
David Greenan, Sales Director said: “We are pleased to have achieved JOSCAR accreditation as this will allow us to continue to grow our business in the aerospace and defence markets. The portal acts as a single repository for pre-qualification and compliance information which streamlines the process to win work in these sectors.”
The JOSCAR registration mark is valued by some of the largest purchasers in the aerospace and defence community, and achieving this accreditation demonstrates NEC’s continued commitment and credentials to the industry.
Depending on the complexity and risk involved in the products/services being supplied suppliers go through a 2-stage process to become accredited. NEC completed the medium / high risk stage 2 qualification which looks in greater detail at a range of policies and procedures in the business including financial and legal, anti-bribery and corruption, health and safety, environmental and sustainability, quality, IT and cyber security, diversity and inclusion.
