NEC have been shortlisted in the Customer Focus category at the UK Nuclear Manufacturing Awards 2023. The inaugural awards are being held on 12th October at Magna in Rotherham as part of a 2-day Nuclear Manufacturing Summit.
NEC produces a number of fuel stringer assemblies for all UK Advanced Cooled Reactors and over the 12 months to June 2023 have received a score of 8.7 (out of 9) or above from customer Springfield Fuels on the quarterly scorecard. They consistently achieve 100% compliance on both quality and delivery and Fit4Nuclear, ISO9001, ISO14001 systems and procedures are integral in the business.
NEC will be exhibiting at the Summit which includes a packed and engaging programme of presentations, panel discussions, opportunities to meet one-to-one with buyers and suppliers and a large manufacturing showcase exhibition.
The event will bring together hundreds of manufacturers from across the country with the leaders of the UK’s major nuclear programmes. It aims to help the UK supply chain make the most of the opportunities in these programmes worth hundreds of billions of pounds over the coming decades, supporting long-term growth, skilled jobs and enabling innovation while moving the UK towards net zero emissions.
