NEC will be exhibiting at the Make UK Defence Summit on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th November 2022 at Millennium Point in Birmingham. Chairman, Vince Middleton and Director apprentice-trained engineer, Matt Keeley will be attending day 1 of the conference and Vince will be taking part in the Meet the Buyer meetings on day 2.
Make UK Defence is a national not-for-profit, member owned defence trade association, part of Make UK – the manufacturer’s organisation. They champion and support the UK’s innovative and diverse defence manufacturing and wider defence supply chain.
With the renewed focus across Government and specifically the MOD on UK Prosperity and levelling up, and a renewed focus on winning overseas defence exports, there are many opportunities within the sector.
Day one of this 2-day event will feature speeches and presentations from high-profile figures in government and industry; roundtable discussions about the biggest issues in the defence sector and will be followed by the Make UK Defence annual dinner in the evening.
The second day will include the membership group’s first face-to-face Meet the Buyer event in 3 years! The event will be a great opportunity to connect with and present to an array of decision makers, network with peers and find new business opportunities with industry leaders including Airbus Defence & Space, Babcock, BAE Systems Air, Cammell Laird, Lockheed Martin and WFEL.
